Good Friday Service, April 18, 2014
Good Friday is the day we remember Jesus’ crucifixion. The hours of noon to 3:00 pm are particularly significant as these commemorate the time Jesus hung on the cross. This is an especially important time to pray for the church and the world for whom Christ gave his life.
We will be joining First United Methodist Church at 6:30 pm for the Good Friday Service. This service draws people into the story of the passion of Christ. It is composed of contrasting actions and moods of the solemn reading of the passion of Christ and, yet, a hopeful look toward the resurrection.

Maundy Thursday, April 17, 2014
This Thursday is Maundy Thursday. We will join together at 6:30 pm to remember the new commandment that Jesus gave us in word and deed as he taught us how to love one another, washing our feet as a servant. We will also celebrate the Lord’s Supper, as we remember the meal Jesus shared with his disciples before he died on the cross. This service will also include the “Stripping of the Church” when all candles, cloths, flowers, etc. are removed to reflect Jesus’ abandonment during the night in Gethsemane and to depict his desolation.
